About age verification

Why we ask

It is illegal to sell knives and bladed items to anyone under 18 in the UK. We must verify the age of everyone buying, and taking delivery of, these products from our website. Items that need an age check are marked 18+.

The two-step check

We follow the two-step check set out in the Crime and Policing Act 2026: your age and identity are checked when you buy, using photo ID (a passport or UK driving licence) and a current photo of you, and the courier checks your photo ID again when the parcel is handed over.

How it works for you

Fill in your personal details on this page. Before we dispatch, we'll contact you to check your photo ID and a current photo of you. Your order won't leave us until this is done.

Delivery

Age-restricted parcels can only be handed to the buyer after the courier checks photo ID. They can't be left with a neighbour, in a safe place or in a parcel locker.

Your data

We only use these details to confirm your age and to keep a record that the check was carried out, as the law expects. See our Privacy policy.
